GPE venturi ported 88mm TB 18/19 GT

Just received package from Joe at GPE (Gigs Performance Engineering). He was very helpful and responded to all my questions. Wanted to start a separate thread of my review on this TB. It is a new/takeoff that he hand ports “venturi” style from 80mm to 88mm.

I just installed on car and it fired right up into a perfect idle, in fact smoother than stock one. Due to rain cannot drive it yet for further feedback. Stay tuned. So far thumbs up. I will log some maf counts to see how much improvement along with general driveability. ;).

Got a chance to run out and log and my laptop battery died. ;(. Cars feels very Beefy though. Very crisp up top.

First drive more than positive around on wet roads. Better throttle response and very smooth. Lol.

Good to hear so far. All of the Hemi crowd runs Fastman or Gig's(basically same products) with great results. Normally knocks a tenth off 1/4 mile on the them & better throttle response. I would expect the same on these also. In for results though.

I don’t know if Bret wants to know. I have no affiliation with him but I do acknowledge his TB mods on the M6G forum boards as positive.
To be honest I think I remember at one point Bret was removing the front half of throttle blade shaft. Someplace along the way he stopped doing that part of the TB Mod.

Regardless, I’m sure your TB will perform as expected. Enjoy the new throttle response, it’s real and noticeable.

ordered one today, already have a ported stock manifold lets see how this does.

Joe says it takes generally 50 plus miles for ECU to fully adjust for added airflow. I’ve only put 20 or so miles on mine, but nice improvement in throttle response and crispness. Glad I jumped off the ledge and took a chance on this new product.

Car should 60’ a little better with traction. ;).
