Or a whole new touch screen, or head unit if thats what they call it? heard of a few cases and mine might be one

Why the touch screen, it has been known for 2 years (?) The rear camera and or cable were the cause of the black outs.

i have had a ton of problems with it. blacking out, losing all media. ford blamed it on a bad battery. since they replaced i have had two loss of media that came back on restart. i have to admit i only drive the car on weekends and dont have it on a trickle charger. but 5 five days is not a lot of time by todays car standards to et a car sit.

There are 2 recalls regarding the rear camera and I have them both to still get done ... glad I didn't take it in for the first one as I'm REALLY hesitant about leaving the car with anyone.

Well finally dropped the car off for the recall. earliest i could get it in, since my OP. believe it or not. its only a software flash update.....the auto industry is in turmoil. lack of workers is the main issue. no one wants to actually work with their hands anymore.
