For preventing half shaft failures, you need to stick with a tire that will give up some traction. Something has to give. If a car with radials hooks hard enough, and the half shaft is the next weak link, it till snap. Avoid drag radials. For drag racing, go all the way to bias ply wrinkle walls. The wrinkle will take up the hit and protect the shafts. For street tires, again, don't go drag radials. Stick with less sticky tires, and maybe even limit the width so that you will lose reaction before a shaft breaks. I don't know what type will do that or what width as the information is still new.

As far as I know, no one has broken a half shaft on a street summer non DR tire.
You think I could get away with et streets? They have a tube bias ply design right?
I'd have to buy new rims because they obviously don't make 19s .
And I'll only be on the street.
I just really don't want to bust a shaft
