I've tried a bunch of different "tuner style" spline-drive lug nuts on my cars over the years, and I've found McGards to be the highest quality. All the others tend to have chrome plating that flakes, which then gets you rust, which quickly gets you lug nuts stuck inside of your spline drive tool. Or worse, the spline drive tool won't fit over the lugs anymore without being hammered on. This has never happened with the McGard lugs I've bought. On top of that, they have the OEM-style washer built in so you get better torque that isn't as affected by grit between the wheel and the lug.

ANYWAY, the problem with McGard is that they're f---ing expensive. The kit you want for our cars is a McGard 65515 which includes 20 lugs, a spline drive tool, 5 locks, and a lock key and it runs $115-120.

I found this eBay seller who is apparently selling a bunch of open-box kits OEM'd for Lexus by McGard for $50. It's Lexus part number PTR27-60111. I think Toyota sells a TRD branded version of it under part number PTR27-60110. The locks on this Lexus kit have tiny "F" logos laser etched on them, but you'd never see them unless you got reeeeeal close. Also, the real deal McGard 65515 kit has 1.648" lugs, and these are 1.5", which isn't a size that McGard sells under their own brand in M14x1.5. That's not a problem though, as you can see below a 1.5" lug will thread all the way down on our studs. Also took a pic with a 1.648" lug for comparison.

Thanks. Any photos with the wheels? Do these fit the smaller tapers for the aftermarket wheels or the wider factory taper?

The spline drive McGards are meant to fit the smaller openings on aftermarket wheels. These are going on MRR M350's.

Pics of wheels soon!

That's a hell of a deal! Wish it was around a few weeks ago when I bought my Gorillas. Hell I may buy a set just to have them!

I was happy to find it.

I had to get McGard's for my OEM TRD faux beadlock wheels that I put on my Tacoma. Toyota sells relabeled McGard's (PTR27-35100) for like $130, but I paid $67 for a 65557 McGard set three years ago (M12 x 1.5 lugs, smaller and cheaper than the M14x1.5 lugs on our cars.)

Holy hell have the prices gone up on McGard stuff... That set is $82 now.

I'm not sure how you didn't gather that from my OP, but yes.

They're just McGard lugs that are packaged for Lexus (also Toyota.) They're not terribly special.

I just ordered them.

Another note when double-checking on the Mcgard site is to search for "ALL" and the sku can be found on page 2. These will go nicely with my new shiny silver wheels. And much better than the Ford locking nut.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, but the kit I linked to on eBay ***IS NOT*** a McGard 65515 kit, which is indeed easy enough to find on their website.

The 65515 has 1.648" long lug nuts and the Lexus kit in my eBay link has 1.5" long lug nuts. Thus my comparison pic in the OP.

McGard does not sell the 1.5" long M14x1.5 spline drive lug nuts under their own label or on their website at all, they're only sold under a Lexus/Toyota SKU.

Regardless, the 1.5" long lugs work on our cars just fine and they're currently holding my wheels on my car.
