I always wonder what kind of person can afford to drive a car for less than 1000 miles and trade it in again.

Maybe it was an unwound new car deal - customer took it home, couldn't get financed, dealer took it back, but couldn't sell "as new" anymore? No idea...weird.

I've worked as a sales manager at a toyota dealership for a few years and it never seizes to amaze me the money some people piss away. Every month someone is trading in something that they just bought a few months ago because they are bored of it.

If you don't take that deal OP, I might just take it for you.... Be sure to check it over first though. You never know what might be the issue.

Maybe it was a Dealer owned vehicle that an upper level Sales person or someone on their Mgmnt Team had for a perk?

Maybe they will deal. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and if they got close to sticker originally, they might even take a bit less. I'm not doing this deal as I'm having the LMS TVS installed in a week. I just wanted others to know about it.

If I hadn't already decided on the parts, etc. I would definitely bought it. For sure. 6K off the best price with 875 miles? Lets, see, thats 6,000/875 or $6.87 per mile plus the savings of 6% tax which is another $360 ending in a cost of $7.26 a mile. Considering the IRS says something like $.60/mile I'd say this is a great deal.

Same here. Some people just love to be consumed in crazy debt or something. So many people trade in new cars with negative equity just because they cant be happy with what they have for a year.

Or, there was something wrong with it. I had a 2015 Dodge Charger SRT that I lemon lawed. Dodge replaced the car with a 2017. The 2017 was a completely different animal, and within our first week of ownership, we had multiple electrical issues, so on day 8 and 450 miles, we traded it in! This was when a 2017 Charger SRT was only a wish for most dealers since they were fulfilling customer orders before dealer orders. So, in this scenario, it's possible Ford replaced a car, rather than buying them out, and they took delivery of the new car, but didn't want it anymore.

My case is similar. with the paint issues I was having, if Ford offered to buy me out, I would've taken the $$ and bought something else. If they replaced my car and I could've unloaded it without losing $$, I would've done that also, putting a new car on a used car lot!

I know a guy that is on his 5th new vehicle trade... all within 2 years of originally buying the 1st. He gets bored very easily but won't even consider leasing.

Leasing won't allow you to get 5 cars in 2 years tho...
