Hey guys and gals, just want to get your thoughts on this deal. I have an offer for a new 2019 GT premium w/ pp2 package with a MSRP of $52,000 for 47,000 plus 0% for 60 months. The $47k does not include ttl. This deal is in California. Good or bad deal?

Thanks in advance!

What options?

Koons Ford on the East coast has like 10 PP2 cars brand new for 43k + TTL. One even has red Recaros.

beware of koons pricing.

they dont include delivery and using the 0% APR forfeits the incentives they roll into their wow price.

and they have a 700 dollar processing fee.

always deal with out the door prices.

Which is why I said +TTL

Delivery and DOC fee can always be negotiated.

delivery fee is non-negotiable.

doc fee they will match a lower price. its only 300 if you deal with koons baltimore. its more in VA.

so its
+ TTL (tax, title, license)
+ delivery fee
+ doc fee
+ 0% apr financing (which would be 1750 since you need to add the retail cash incentive back in)

Are you willing to travel out of state and across the country to save some $$$. If yes you can probably do better. If not, this deal is pretty good. Good luck!

Seems like a fair deal to me, assuming it's fully loaded. Maybe try to get another $1K off.

2020's are hitting the lots soon.

So there could be more savings in a month or two.

Thanks for all the responses. The options on this gt premium are, pp2, ae, recaros, 401a, and security. It comes out to roughly $52k. I can get $7,500 off MSRP but then the 0% will not apply. I've checked out of state and the deals are better but they don't offer the 0% financing. The best CU rate I've for 60 months is 3.24%.

Buying out of state and registering in CA would require you to put over 7500 miles on the vehicle or you would be hit with CA sales tax on the purchase price.
Essentially you either have to drive the hell out of it before you register it or get double taxed.

In California that might count for a "good" deal but elsewhere, not so much. You should be able to get 10-15% off of MSRP out-the-door depending on what your local tax rates are. How 'old' is the car? If it's more than 3 or 4 months on the lot you should put the screws to them hard.

If you buy your car from neighboring states you will not get taxed twice. If CA doesn't have a reciprocal arrangement, you'll get a 10'ish day tag good enough for you to transport it back home and then you'll have to pony up the sales tax when you register it at the California DMV.

The 3.24@60 means your total cost is 48,261.70 which is quite a bit below 52,000. The 0% (5 years?) is 866/mo vs the CU option is $804/mo. I would go for the CU offer and keep whacking that dealer price lower.
