Just go to the Chemical Guys website. There's only about 6000 soaps to look at. Yeah I get lost in there :headbang:

Best color ever :headbang:
Should i use a soap with also a wax built in as well. ?

Yup! If you use a wash for light cars, it will stain like bleach on jeans.

If you want to read up, go to Autopia or Autogeek and start reading the forums.
Many anal people there.

Or, just go to the store and buy anything that says car wash on it.
(sorry, I'm bored today)

I use product from a few different vendors, but my tried and true for car wash is Meguiar's G7101FFP Gold Class.

A gallon for ~$22 from Amazon: http://a.co/3dVjW0r

This is a great wash mitt for for $6-8:

Chemical Guys MIC498 Black Microfiber Wash Mitt

http://a.co/dNbqwmf

Nothing else too fancy with the wash side, I don't do a 10-stage pre-soak-foam, or a 20 bucket washing process :D

CG also makes a solid drying towel:

Chemical Guys MIC_781_01 Waffle Weave, $10, http://a.co/fDHfIpB

The cheapest soap at Walmart, a brand new washer mit (or one that's kept very clean), and then spend your money on good wax and proper detailing. Soap used is least of your worries, mate.

I've researched this topic extensively... There are a few options I would consider here:

1) Traditional wash with soap and rinse with water. Use a microfiber cleaning mitt on each hand and you will be able to wash the car quickly. Follow this up with wax and dry the car with a microfiber towel.

2) Waterless wash and wax. I've tried this method on over 50 washes of my car(My car is gray) and the results are great! Meguiar's Ultimate Waterless Wash and Wax is a great product to use here. Turtle also makes a pretty good product in their Exterior 1 Waterless Wash and Wash. If using this method, get a microfiber towel with a high GSM rating(Around 500-1000). This will trap the dirt inside the towel so it avoids scratching the paint.

3) Same as #1, but use an electric leaf blower(preferably with a smaller tip on the end) to dry the car. A leaf blower can dry the car in under 5-10 minutes and does it efficiently. Use a towel to clean up any drips left.

4) Same as #1, but use a silicone squeegee to dry the car. Don't worry, these are safe to use on paint. They do a fast and efficient job of drying the car. Use a towel to clean up any drips left.

5) Use a deionized water filter system to wash your car. They are a tad bit pricey, but no drying is needed.

6) Pay someone(a professional detailer) else to wash and wax the car.

I have a microfiber jumpsuit, I pour soap and water over my head, run past the car a few times ... done in < 30 seconds.
I tried that one time During a pit stop on a big race. I fell down because of the soap and bam just like that Speed Racer passed me.

Never again. :headbonk:

A clean car is a happy car ... and it will go faster as well. :headbang:
