I like to disassemble things.
Since Spazz never asked his buddy I'd assume it is either available at invoice or at most, MSRP. This one is gonna sell very fast.

I was being as facetious as can be.

I mean, come on. Your good buddy owns a dealership and gets a CFTP car and no discussion on what the price will be but a discussion takes place about posting it up on an enthusiast website? Somebody will call and be told the ADM is 15k or more and then this thread will die. It happens over and over again.

I just called. They haven't "even talked about it" and asked me what Id be willing to pay to order it. Best Ive found is 20k thus far but not exact spec Id get. SO they asked what Id be willing to pay so I told them and Ill await hearing back.,

So what did you tell them you'd be willing to pay just to get the opportunity to (pay again) order it?

Im not sure I follow. However, Id be willing to pay 10 k over MSRP for CFTP. Thats about all Id be willing to loose. That is for this MY only. After 2020, I will wait and buy a gently used one. I would buy a base for no more than MSRP. They will be plentiful.

At least you recognize and are up front about what you would be willing to lose. "Plentiful" is a rather subjective term and we will no doubt see how the market views this car in short order. Buying a gently used one is a smart move.

I had some salesman yesterday tell me they wanted 30k and that the car was "limited" and Id make money and in the same conversation he tried to sell me a 2018 GT350 Base for 46k. Im just like SMH. He didnt even see how he defeated his own argument. When I got my R it had 400miles on it and less than 6 months owned at less than MSRP so I was happy with that.

Unfortunately, the phone number is posted above. The phone will start ringing. They will put 2 and 2 together and then it will become a bidding war.

I hope Im wrong and I hope you told them MSRP and not 10K. Sometimes you get lucky.

Nah, its gonna be a bidding war. I am under no illusion i am gonna get lucky this year. Ill spend 500 bucks and take my chances on the Shelby america raffle and maybe 500$-1000$ on the dream car giveaway. Those are at least tax deductible if you don't win.
