I know many think there will be no more allocations for 2020. That maybe the case. However, the dealership where I bought my GT350 from in 2017 think they may get another one. I am headed there today to put down $1,000 and be first in line for this maybe allocation. Even if it's not for a 2020, I am good waiting for a 2021 by putting down $1,000 that is fully refundable for the an MSRP deal.

That being said, the way I want to configure the car is OW, blue OTT racing stripes with blue side stripes. Add the handling package and that's it. What are some other options, not that there are many, others have added and why?

I am also holding out for a 2021. I’ve been buying cars and trucks from my local ford dealership for the better part of 17 years now so we have a good-standing relationship with them. I went up there last week to speak to GM about my interest and tell him to save me a allocation for the 2021MY. At msrp of course, he was happy to oblige. I’ll still be up there early on the day the 2021 order banks open so I can make sure I get my order in as early as possible.

It doesn't hurt to try, just don't get your hopes up. There was a memo floating around from a Ford rep that said there will be no extra allocations.

.

Not to mention first in line for a 2021 if a 2020 does not happen.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck. Be sure to get the agreed upon details in writing. Deposit refunds, timeline, etc

Here we have it. The salesman that sold me my GT350 is now the GM. We remembered each other immediately. All is good. He said maybe in 90 days an allocation will be had. If nothing more this year I’m number one for 2021. He also said if at anytime I need a refund not a problem. My $1,000 will be refunded.
Now the wait begins.

I would be more worried about Ford not fulfilling the allocations that they have already issued, if this is the case, they will probably be rolled over to MY21. I would be surprised if all the allocations will be built. Concerning production, they're not where they had planned to be before all the problems that have popped up. This is just a guess on my part and I hope it doesn't happen. We will just have to wait and see.

Let's not get the cart before the horse. LOL. Yes, it's ordered with the dealership but that really does not mean a lot other than "IF" they get another allocation for 2020 or ones for 2021, I should be good. Far from saying the car is ordered like Ford has received the configuration and are going to build the car.

One day hopefully that is the case that Ford has accepted the order, but I can be patient. Hopefully not until 2022. Dooh.

Honestly based on recent Ford history your better off waiting for a 2021 and letting issues get worked out.

The GM said their current allocation is to be built in January. If that one gets built then the next one is mine. Be it a 2020, 2021, or 2022 I’m fairly confident at some point I’ll will get one from them at MSRP.

Time will tell.

If you are patient and you don't mind waiting till 2021, then yes, I would say you are in an excellent position.
