My recommendation is go get you another center section with 3.31s already in it. Much easier to swap pumpkins than changing out gears. Bout 4 hour job doing that.

i currently have 3.73 but was looking on forums that 3.31 or 3.55 are better since I am boosted now. i run 305/35/19 tireDon't know if I buy into the 3.31's for boosted cars idea.
I've got 3.31's in my 6MT car, Whipple Gen3 running the 3.5 pulley with 305/35/20 rear tires. With the stock rear tires 6th was marginally useful. The larger tires have now made my effective ratio 3.18. While cruising at 80 on the highway any application of throttle results in boost......not good. Starting off the car is a pig until it gets into boost. I am going to re gear over the winter. Just don't know if I want 3.55 or 3.73's.
To the OP.....being that your N/A go with the 73's and get yourself a tune. You'll love it!
The bigger tires are taking some steam out of the 3.73's for sure. Are you struggling for traction?i currently have 3.73 but was looking on forums that 3.31 or 3.55 are better since I am boosted now. i run 305/35/19 tire
yes, i am data logging and theres to much spin from 1st to 3rd. but it seems that the longer gears have made good solutions for TT cars like mine. also helps out more with the boost and has better results, according to many other peopleThe bigger tires are taking some steam out of the 3.73's for sure. Hold the phone! Your running twins? Then 3.31's are in order for sure!yes, i am data logging and theres to much spin from 1st to 3rd. but it seems that the longer gears have made good solutions for TT cars like mine. also helps out more with the boost and has better results, according to many other people

I have 3.73 in my 17 mustang gt and have no issues with 1st and 2nd they pull hard and quick on the highway I put it in 6th gear and cruiseThat is why you have multiple gears.
So 3.73's make 1st (& second per above) useless. 3.31 makes 6th useless.
Use 6th as a fuel economy gear (which is what it is), and shift down when you want decent acceleration and the 3.31 is great.
Now with the taller gearing of the 2018+, the 3.73 makes more sense. But for a 2015-2017 the 3.31 is the better choice.
