Do people really think that consoles are superior? peasants

The PS5 is pretty damn good. Yes I managed to snag one at retail from Walmart.com

Right? Just buy a 60"4k monitor and hook up your HDMI to your PC and play on your couch with the steam controller like a King
And you dont have to try and beat bots in the process! :giggle:

I used to build my own PC's. But now, for me, consoles are easier. Definitely not superior, just more convenient. I just want to sit down and play a game for 15 to 60 minutes. I have no time to putz around with updates, drivers, compatibly issues anymore.

I know that swapping the 5700XT for the 6900XT produced WORSE performance out of the box. I had to tweak a few settings before it was putting down the right numbers. Maybe do a clean driver install since you leapfrogged a generation? I'm personally tempted to nuke windows and start completely fresh to get rid of any potential lingering gremlins.
I did a Windows reinstall when I got my 3080. That's when I got the quirks. I've used DDU a couple of times since then (Since EVGA recommended it and it got rid of some quirks and added new one). I think I might try another Windows reinstall in the near future.

I bought my current laptop just before all the new gen GPU's came out last year. Got a great deal on it though! I don't care that I still only have a lowly 1660ti, Forza runs like a champ. My gaming chair is an old recliner (they get better with age I think) and laptop/monitor sits on a desk. Forza with my feet up, nothing better.

I use a 70 inch 4k hdr tv with the ps5 and it plays as smooth as tv video.

The only game I really play anymore is Gran Turismo. Until the new one comes out I am holding off on the PS5. Right now I am using a 75" 4K QLED.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else have a 5600x + a 30 series GPU? And do you run into any quirks when playing games?
5800x and rtx 2080. It's actually been the most trouble free set up I've had in the last decade. What sorta quirks do you have?
