Getting a H-pipe, since the price range can be from $130 up to $275, does brand make any difference on sound/performance? From pypes to Roush?

I want to do a resonator delete but don't want to splurge the cash if I don't have to. Do different brands have different sound notes? TIA

Biggest difference in sound according to the internet is "H" or "X" pipe.

The Steeda seems to have a strong following and very few comments of not liking the sound.

Speaking strictly about only H-pipes, I would imagine the sound differences would be negligible between them. But one other factor to consider would be the type and size of the metal piping used. There will be a difference in quality and potential rust issues depending.

Different brands will also offer material makes. Stick with one made of 304 stainless steel. Some of the ultra low end are made of aluminized and can rust, fall apart etc. Sound wise then you are talking x vs h at that point.

Can you legally modify the exhaust in California?

Some of the super low end ones also don't actually have a proper crossover, I remember someone on here cut theirs open and the connection was just a tiny drilled hole lmao.

Go with steeda H- pipe I did and it’s sounds great
I think that's the one that I will end up going with, seems like everyone has had nothing but good things to say about Steeda! Thank you for the input!

I'm leaning towards getting the Steeda H-pipe, which is made out of 304 stainless steel

Thank you, I think I will get the pipe that's made out stainless steel to save future problems from occurring!

+1 on Steeda. My x pipe from them was great quality. Just FYI though, get some double walled 2.5inch butt clamps. The ones Steeda includes are weak and let the exhaust sag.

What about regular H pipes vs the Corsa Double H? Anyone know if there is much sound difference?

Yes. From the cat back you can but it must be under the decibel limits

Just wondering, do you have inspetions, that test that? Or it's on the road side and a local cop making the call ?
