Gear recommendation

Swapping to a 6r80 and will be going to a different gear, rather my 3.73.

The car has a Vortech v3 on E85 with a Circle D 4C. Would you guys recommend 3.15, 3.31 or 3.55? Mostly just a nice day street cruiser with occasional track duty.

Yeah...3.15 is what I hear is the ticket for the FI auto while the 3.31 is best with the MT82.

I plugged the numbers into a speed calculator based on everything at 7500 rpms and 3.55 look ideal. With 3.55 I'd be in the top of 3rd in the 1/8th and top of 4th in the quarter.

Not sure if I'm missing something other variable though?

If you're not going to trap much higher than 140 mph in the 1/4 mile, then 3.55's would be a good choice. And, the car will be more entertaining to drive on the street with 3.55's versus less gearing.

I ended up purchasing a 3.31 pumpkin from a manual car, so got the iron housing.

If it ends up not working well with my setup then I'll def pick up a 3.55!
