FYI GT 350 half shafts

Just for information guys, l just finished putting a set of GT350 half shafts in my 2018 10r80 GT. The drivers side is noticeably different, no necking down on the axle at all. The passanger side axles were identical, no need in changing both axles. Had l known that l wouldn't of changed it, as my car only has 3800 miles on it. Just in case someone else is going to do the same change, you can save yourself a little unnecessary work, although l will say for doing it the first time it was very easy, no problems at all.

Who sells just a drivers side gt350 axle? Thanks for info.
Other than Ford, I don't know if any of the Mustang performance dealers like Steeda or American Muscle sell them separately. But l bet it would be expensive through a Ford dealership.

Yeah it is probably cheaper to buy the pair @ $350 unless some vendor will order just the one (driver) you need.

The GT350 axles are an upgrade for auto (18+) only it seems, on manual cars they're about the same.

The passenger side looks nearly identical from 15 and up, manual and auto.

Yeah kinda stupid they did not do the same drivers side axle as the manual? A drag mode a10 hits pretty hard.

Yep the left side is the same thickness all along and the CV’s are larger too.

right side is identical.

It shifts harder than my no lift shifting on my old mt82 car. Only difference was I launched my mt82 car at 6500rpm lol.

I'll be installing GT350 axles here pretty soon and will also see how they hold up with the HP Tuners Trans Brake leaving between 2500-3500 RPM. If they break, then oh well, I'll throw the stocks back in and save up for a G-Force set. I have yet to see anyone beat on these GT350 axles and report back on what broke them in detail.

They held up fine on my manual car, but I was running bias ply tires.

so when we switch them out do the gt 350 axles need the thrust washers like the stock ones ? asking now so when i get everything all together im not missing nothing before install, im doing both axles , bearings and new nuts

From the parts list on the S550 GT350 break upgrade kit that comes with the Shelby axles.
Does anyone have the part number just for the drivers side?
