since he has two different tire sizing logic would tell me staggered setup
Logically but you could get a 295 on a 10 inch wide rim. Just want to be clear is all.

Also how far upstate. I'm in NJ and interested.

Yes I believe 275's are the same tires that BMW uses for the rear tires, the (100Y). No curb damage at all on the wheels. The Michelin PSS run a little wider than other brands.
