Are the OEM brackets and bushings that mount the bar to the front subframe press fit to the bar? Or rigidly mounted to it so the bar doesn't move freely in the bushing?
When I was installing my new struts the other week and hooking the endlinks back up it seemed like the bar did not move freely in the bushings. Last night out of curiosity I loosened up the mounting bracket on the passenger side and could not take it off by hand. It seemed to be permanently attached to the bar so I wonder if I have a permanent preload on it now since I have lowered the car and the bar is bound up by default.
I couldn't find anything relating to this particular question from searching the forum.
