yeah, those lines that run down the snake length-wise, remind of a garter snake.. if thats what it is, harmless,

Good to have around (in terms of snakes). They are generally non aggressive but if you bother them, they tend to show aggression more than other harmless snakes.

Full disclosure - they are technically venomous but have a horrible method of delivery, therefore it’s widely accepted they’re non-venomous to humans. What they do produce is very mild.
Recorded venomized bites haven’t resulted in anything more than skin irritation in people.

Just like ants, good ants or snakes will keep the bad ones from making home in same location, vica versa

We have Geckos that come out at night at our place. Not many flying insects last long in their vicinity. Lol.
