The Ford Performance shocks and struts kit I got came with some red loctite. The only bolts I saw that had loctite from the factory were the rear shock upper mount bolts and that had blue loctite on it.

What does Ford want you to lock down with the high strength red?

Thanks.....

The kit has it or it's on the bolts? I've never used any. Torque the bolt properly.

I read the installation instructions PDF when I did mine, it doesn't exactly specify which bolt requires it. I never used it, just torque to the spec on the PDF.

If I remember right, the only place I put Loctite was on the MGW linkage bolt, for obvious reasons.

The kit came with a tube. I just put some fresh blue on the rear shock upper bolts as that's what factory had. Everything's torqued to proper values, so I'm all happy!

If it has the toe link knuckle bearing the red loctite goes on the outside of the bearing before it is pressed into the knuckle. Should say so in the instructions.

No, the package was just shocks and struts. M-18000-F.

When I got the Ford Performance bump stops it came with red loctite as well. I'm guessing bolt it's to remount the shocks.

Red normally needs some heat to break it free. I wouldnt use it on any suspension bolts, they're hard enough to break free dry. Use blue or none at all. Red is overkill imo.
