If anyone figures out where the double honk resides in the BCM so I can disable it, I will buy you a



This is ALWAYS the first thing I do to my Ford vehicles, I can not stand the double honk. The BCM line form the previous mustangs is not the same on the GT500, unfortunately.

I posted in a different thread, but you might not have seen it over there. The mustangs share similar BCM code as the 2020 Explorers/Expeditions.

I will be testing this out when I get mine in 4 days. And if this works, then it begins. And good to know that it follows the explorer/expedition. the reg mustangs followed the f150 and focus.

It's more of a component generation change. Sometimes they tend to lead a vehicle generation change and sometimes they don't. Haven't quite figured that part out yet.

I ended up paying to get it turned off, but thank you for the new information. I am positive many others will use it happily.

This is great news. I have new wheels and tires coming in the next few weeks, and I would like to change the BCM to reflect the new sizes. I went from 305/30/20 in the front to 315/30/21, and from 315/30/20 in the rear to 325/30/21. I wonder if you would know what changes I will need to make to correct the speedometer?

Hi Jaime -

Just want to make the disclaimer that all of this is preliminary at this point until those of us with MY2020 start trying this out.

The speedometer is based on the rear wheel circumference. The calculated circumference of your new rear wheel/tire combo is 2288.3 mm. I'd use the same factor (97.37%) Ford is using on the stock 30 series to reduce the circumference, which puts your number at at 2228.1 mm. Round to the nearest mm for 2228, which is 08B4 hex. So, I'd go:

726-15-01: xxxx xxxx 08yy
726-15-02 B4xx xxxx xxyy

I know on the GT350, you need to perform the PCM relearn process as part of the change, so you should do that. The GT500 also has a TCM and I've read on other forums regarding other vehicles that have a TCM that you also need to perform the relearn process on the TCM as well when changing wheel circumference.

I’m gonna have to let Brendan answer this one Steve, as I never got around to making the adjustment. I sold my Signature wheels since I am getting new wheels from Shelby. I am told they will be making the appropriate tire size adjustments before I get the car back.

I’ve used FORScan on my Ranger with much success. Guess it’s time to customize the GT500.
I cannot stand the double honk.

Make sure the fans (heated and cooled seats) in the seats are turned off, this could be what you are hearing. If any of the lights in the white rectangles are lit, the fans are running.

i have recaro seats no heated or cooled seats but i would like to update a few things on the car like i did in my 16 gt but dosnt seem that any one has access to the codes yet

Thanks to @bendensez, I adjusted my wheel size today. I can say with certainty that he nailed it. The GPS app and speedo are balls on accurate now.
