This thread should have been named Pandora’s Box....uhm wow amazed at all the unhappy stories being shared here. I grew up Chevy and Mopar and wouldn‘t buy a Ford product since I heard so many negative stories. And now so many years later I mean like 40 plus years I converted to all Ford about 3 years ago. And it started with me purchasing my 2018 Ford Raptor which converted me to get rid of all my Ram Trucks and Hellcats. I know own all the Ford Trucks, Explorers, Expedition, Rangers, Mustangs and all the newest latest greatest versions. I love them more than any other product I have owned and I have owned Land Rovers, Jaguars, Mercedes, Toyotas, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep,VW, Honda, Pontiac’s, BMW, Mazda, Hummers....etc. The GT500 is just a bad ass race car factory produced race ready like no other. And sure if you spend mega dollars other manufacturers give you options as well. But for the bang for the buck and the Shelby value can’t see going elsewhere to satisfy the need for speed and fun factor. Summing it up really sorry to hear of so many sad stories and this thread is very young. If the stories grow it will be a Shame and as word travels the values of these will possibly have an impact. Doubtful but i guess the truth HURTS.

Well that sucks. Sounds more like a Shelby issue then Ford, the GT's don't have those issues.

This is really disappointing and scary at same time. That makes me to think if I choose the right Brand. Ford needs to care more about clients like Tom, or us. Clients that care about their money, their investment. How can Ford sale those cars like this. They need to see who is the responsible for this and take action. My car (I love it but) has a lot of issues too. See pictures and you will see. And now, what I can do? Nothing, because they already end the GT350R production . So, I guess I need to live with that. And I don’t have Tom knowledge, maybe my engine bay has a lot of craziness inside!
Paint also has an small factory defect, and the clear has some of them too.

That trunk offset I had that with my '16CS and I had that with my GT500, ford fixed it and realigned it.

Back when I had my '07 GT500, I used to joke that it was a $20K car with a $30K engine.

Sad part is, the body fit and finish on both my S197s was better than my S550 by far. One would think that this would be a non-issue now as, like I mentioned earlier, other manufacturers do better with their low end vehicles.
To show the inconsistency, my 2014 was far worse than my 2020. Interior fits were much better on my 2020 too. Ford really needs to step it up. I’ve even walked rows of Lincoln’s and noticed many body fit issues. Most manufacturers do much better.

Why clients needs to go back at dealership to realignment on something that should pass a quality control, because those issues are super easy to see. Paint issues, also they need to run some test before send the car to customer. Also, those clients that place an order (like I did, Tom, and many in this forum) they should make a better work on their cars. Ford needs to respect more their customers. I’m not paying $20k, this car is costing $78K, plus adm, fees, tax, etc. it’s a lot of dollars...

The easy answer to send Ford a message don’t buy their stuff and that’s sends a huge message. I mean look at Chevy the Camaro is going bye bye.

No man, that’s not an answer neither a solution. It’s just put more attention on their clients complain. If you know your employees are not doing a good job, Ford needs to take care about it. I would care of clients like @Tomster, like all those guys that love Ford products and buy them each year. Ford has a reputation, and that means something, right?

The problem is America. Tolerance and complacency, along with a heavy dose of apathy, has killed our tech jobs. No one wants to do quality manual labor anymore.
Law is disrespected. Medicine is fastly becoming owned by the govt. Factions are preaching and threatening the family unit through violence.
CEOs try to appease everyone to keep their bonuses. People want to applaud communist China sympathizers and America has endorsed the failures of socialism by praising and electing those who worship it.
Oh... I’m sorry, you thought buying a Camaro would fix Ford’s issues. Sorry I digressed.

I’m convinced... if the assembly line folk could put Mustangs together with PS4s and XBOXs quality and respect of product would immensely improve.

Nah! I don’t say that. My first option was Challenger Hellcat Redeye, also I was considering the ZL1 1LE, but all of them has same issues, maybe less, maybe worst. But I saw the beauty in the GT350R, so I bought it. Ford will never read our comments, for sure. I bet they will keep building GT500 with same issues.

Solution: Get rich and buy a Pagani Huayra:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:
