I have not but those at the premier said it was well worth the cost and time
Excellent, thanks. Maybe I'll go see it instead of waiting for ppv

A good friend on the SAAC forum saw it at a premier and really enjoyed it, and he knows more about the history of the subject matter than anyone I'm aware off.

Personally I hope this spurs enough interest to make a movie of the 63-65 race seasons beautifully described in Mike Shoen's book "The Cobra Ferrari Wars".

Now I know why some forums take the hard line on NO Politics whatsoever - to the point of warning a member on posting a pic of a ā€˜Rump Chia Pet...

To the point of the thread, the 350s snugged up for winter and saltā€™s on the road, I will not be taking ā€˜er.

I saw it last night at the 11-99 Foundation's screening at Paramount Studios. All politics aside, definitely worth the price of admission. First car movie I've watched with believable racing scenes since The French Connection (did I just date myself?)

I for one, will not permit politics to poison my love of this car, nor the escape from all the political posturing this forum has offered me. I hope we can leave politics out of the forum and can unite for the sake of a common enthusiasm of the Shelby Mustang. I will likely see the film, understanding clearly it is not a documentary and a story told from Hollywood's filter. After all, it is a movie studio product who's 1st intent is to make box office sales and not to better the world or create our reality. And I will treat it as entertainment, not journalism (if it still exists). By seeing the film does not require I adopt the values of the studio, producers or actors. It is just a film for entertainment value.

I hope we can keep the banter in the forum focused on the Shelby Mustangs and a healthy dose of 'my car is better, faster, better looking, etc...' as motorheads were born to debate.

It's salty here too, and temperatures have been quite a bit below average. Too cold for the stock GT350 tires.

I watched a Shelby history on MotorTrend On Demand last night, which was pretty fun. Shelby did a lot more for Ford than I realized in the past. I think it's really awesome to have an icon like Shelby as part of the history behind our cars and I'm really glad Ford is still using his name.

There was one other movie with completely authentic car chase scenes:

Saw the movie tonight. It was very good. Did not take the Shelby since it was in the low 40's and pissing rain. I did however sport my very nice Shelby jacket. Wife enjoyed it and I'm one step closer to adding a Cobra to the garage. :)

Watched it tonight with several friends from work. Took the GT350 and was thinking 7000 RPM?, hell 8000 is where it's at!

I really enjoyed the movie, and thought everyone involved did a great job. Most of the car stuff was pretty legit, and at least on road course stuff you can have 50 shifts without it feeling fake (looking at you Fast and Furious).

Saw the movie last night without my car but probably just as well. Everyone would have been wanting to race me on the way home.

Movie was great, I think my wife actually liked it better than I did. Focus is really on Ford vs Ferrari story line which is still a great story in the same vein as the space race so very feel good. I told my wife about some of the other aspects of Carrol Shelby's life that really don't get touched on in this movie even though they were happening in parallel. Maybe we'll get more movies on his remarkable life!
