Read this in a gt350 owners group forum today. Kind of a good news/bad news scenario I guess.Good news that parts and service will be around for awhile on these..bad news being that the rare factor will diminish. Michelle Bollaert , who is a niche line Specialist at the Romeo engine plant ( some of you will have her name on your engine plate), made the announcement. She also mentioned that another special engine project is awaiting approval in which ford plans to go after the Hellcat. We did ask her to double check that it was indeed the flat plane 5.2 that will carry on and not the new crossplane 5.2. She said engineering verified it is due to the demand for the flatplane that they will keep it in production.

Any links? Michelle is one of my engine builders! Be very depressing if they do decide to continue production till 2020, especially when they could amortize costs by releasing the 5.2 CPC early and keep the exclusivity/desire high for new special editions.

interesting......

The word all along is that the voodoo was GT350 specific and would only be used for that platform.

If it ends up being true, I hope we start seeing more aftermarket support for our cars.

IF the FPC does continue to 2020, its pretty well guaranteed that the GT350 will be produced until then as well, since Ford themselves directly stated the FPC 5.2 will go in no other vehicle but the GT350.

What is interesting, is that Ford also stated that two Shelbys would NOT be produced side by side. So that begs the question, if the FPC is being produced until 2020, and thus the GT350, is the GT500 slated to wait until the S650 gen before coming out?

This "new product" they are aiming at the hellcat, I wonder if it is the Mach 1 designation that will take the top spot instead of the GT500? Wouldn't make sense to me, since the GT350 was always the better/more special vehicle when compared to the mass produced Mach variants.

Wouldn't make sense to have a Mach 1 as the top vehicle to go against the hellcat with the GT500 history of being the "big hammer" in regards to power, and I don't think they will wait until 2020 to come out with a GT500 to rival a 6 year old Hellcat...

My money is on some information she has posted has been construed or perhaps incorrect :) time will tell :(
