I'm struggling to understand what point you're trying to make.
The point is the introduction of the new Mustang did move the stock needle at all. I’m sure there are some who might believe this could have been the cause of the drop.

And here's the S&P YTD:

Call me silly, but I think there's more going on here than the digital dash in the 2024 Mustang.
He saying look at the whole market, kinda looks just like Ford s graph. It s not a Ford thing it s the market(economy) as a whole.

If you are referring to the Mach-E and Lightning they have both been successful beyond all expectations. But there have been productions delays due to certain parts and chips as well as major price increase in all parts. Both of these thing have affected the stock pricing of every manufacturer.

Just FYI, it has already been said that thanks to the Mach-E our Mustangs can still have a V8.

does anyone really expect any company like Ford could do very well with all the delays and lack of production (not all their fault) since COVID. I m not surprised at all. If and when the economy comes back to normal so will their numbers.

Ford can't fill the orders they receive. That's a big issue. 2023 Maverick production for the year sold out in 5 days. They could sell 500,000 of them if they could build them. Instead are limited to abut 100K units. That's just one model, how many others are affected? Big problem.

My wife really wanted one, but you can't even order them right now.
Nope, been there. Might be able to get a '24. Maybe.

I've been thinking about ordering another Wrangler (my fifth) instead, at least they can be had in a reasonable timeframe and under list. Ford doesn't want or need more of my money apparently.
