Tell me ANY stock that hasn't Tanked in the last couple years? For whatever reason, Nature of the Beast. Sell out now or buy the dip. I don't know but...

Automakers are like airlines: highly cyclical. Inflation at every step, labor costs, supply chain issues and a looming recession. The immediate outlook isn't pretty. No concerns here. Looking back to 2008, Ford weathered things much better than most. Long-term, they'll be fine.

I would hardly call $1.30 per share drop as plumetting. It will recover before the week is out.

I remember when Ford was a penny stock. Literally, a penny stock.

It's around 13.56 now. Impressive.

Nothing in that headline suggests any connection between the currently awful business cycle and an overhyped Youtube reveal of one future product last week.

I swear, if there isn't already a gaggle of Youtube bloviators posting babbling Jeremiads against the auto industry, complete with reports from "trusted insiders" about the imminent firing of senior officers, impending bankruptcies and selling off of assets, the collapse of Atlantis into the ocean, etc...there will be by the middle of next week.

The Internet culture of I Hate This So It Will Fail, It MUST! just makes money hand-over-fist for so many doofuses with webcams who will tell the most preposterous lies to the legions of the credulous in exchange for a few hundredths of a penny per view and a Click-and-Subscribe.

Ford's stock hasn't been anything to sneeze at in the last 100 years since it's controlled by the Ford family... it won't ever hit Apple or Amazon levels.

LOL

I bought a few shares for fun back in 2012 - I think it was a little over 9, then, and what is it ten years later? Less than 14?

A decade of the stock market soaring into the stratosphere on zero interest rates, and Ford could never find the on-ramp.

But they just kept plugging along, making cars...and here we are, still.

I hear there's a new Mustang next year.

I'm still $1.30 a share up.

And here's the S&P YTD:

Call me silly, but I think there's more going on here than the digital dash in the 2024 Mustang.

I'm struggling to understand what point you're trying to make.
