Hey Guys,

My GT350R is reaching 400 miles, and I'm planning his first oil change, as Tom had recommended me.
I've read my manual owner and Ford recommends the "Ford Motorcraft XO-5w50-QGT 5w50 Full Synthetic".
Do you know where is the best store to buy it, because my concern about buying it in any place is that they sell old oil?
Also, what is the oil filter that I have to buy, and If I need anything else along with Oil and Oil Filter?

Regards!

I got my oil from here:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MWCROVW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

FL2087 is the oil filter you want and I ended up just buying it from the dealer since I had trouble finding them online.

There are tons of threads out there that talk about oil and preference etc. Personally, I changed mine at 700 (I have 1400 on it now and got it in October) and went with Amsoil over Motorcraft. Every person will give you a different opinion but that's what I did and am happy with the choice. I'm a big fan of the Autofanatic channel and he goes into detail about Motorcraft and I am of the belief (in my own research) that Amsoil is superior. Driven is also another option but Amsoil is proven to be A++. Filter was OEM Motorcraft from Rock Auto. No you don't need anything else.

If that comes with the filter, that's a good price. The oil filters are not cheap from the dealer.
The 10 qt kit does come with the oil filter.

did you get your 42,000 ford point you bought it? if you trust your dealer to do it, its only about 30,000 points. ford pays for it and you have it on record that the oil was changed by the dealer should any warranty questions arise ford can't accuse you of not doing it or doing it wrong.

I hope the 400 miles you put on the car have brought you happiness. When we chatted, I suggested 500 miles only because that is what I do with break in oil.

As it has been suggested, there are other options to motorcraft, amsoil being one. Whichever you choose, you can't go wrong as long as the oil meets Ford spec.

You have been given great advice. The only thing I might add is to send a sample into blackstone labs, but thats just me..... i like to keep an eye on how the engine is wearing, and the break in oil is a good benchmark for future comparisons.

my father has it on his truck, its nice and works. only thing is you have to get the front 9 inches higher than the back to get all the old oil out without having to take the whole plug out.
did you stick with the factory plug? Isn’t is messy?
