Am I wrong here? The Voodoo was supposed to be the highest HP naturally aspirated engine Ford has produced for a street-car I thought, so what's with this article?

Idk, seems pretty clear to me they strictly mean exactly as it says. It's the mostnm powerful NA 5.0l in a Mustang.

It even later says

I think it's a misprint. They do mention the 5.0 quite a few times. But who knows, Ed Krenz reminds me too much of Gavin Newsom to take anything at face value.

The article is pretty specific to 5.0 liter engines, actually - one of the section headlines makes it very clear: "Most Powerful Mustang GT 5.0-liter V8"

The Voodoo is 5.2 liters, and along with any other engine that's not 5.0 liters, it doesn't count.
