Ford Racing Recaros Vs. OEM?

What is the difference between these two minus the aesthetics? I really want Recaros and should have ordered my car with them, but I didn't. If anyone knows the answer, please input. If you know where to order the OEM cloth recaros, please shoot me a PM.

I don't know if there is any huge difference. But looking at the pictures I can tell there is more "quality" in the "ford racing" recaro than the OEM ones. However, I have the OEM cloth ones and I love them.

When do they normally let people order replacement parts? If someone crashes their car, I am sure they can get replacement parts.

Oops my bad. Have you tried calling Recaro and asking where to purchase the ones that come on the factory build mustangs?

Very late reply but you can likely purchase them from the parts department at your local dealer. Expect them to be double the price of the Ford racing ones.

The best place by far anybody to use is employee cost at Ford White bear.

I bought a set of cloth Recaro take outs from Rehagen Racing with only a few hundred miles on them. They cost me $2,800 shipped but to me they were every penny as I'm not a fan of the ford racing logo on the other seats.

His point is still valid.

You are paying $xx,xxx for the car; then the $1595 for the upgrade to Recaros. The upgrade cost includes the cost of the original seats that now aren't needed. You already paid for them in the car cost.

The Recaros may really cost $2,950 real price (as the Ford Racing are selling for), but the stock seats coming out discounted the Recaro upgrade to $1,595 as the stock seats have value. The Ford Racing are also leather so whatever the stock leather seats are worth retail.

That's why the upgraded price is less than buying them aftermarket.
