Can I wait until near the end of the manufacturer warranty to purchase an extended warranty? GM allows this, Ford should too...

Yes, you can. There is a surcharge at 12 months/12,000 miles that makes it a bit more expensive though. So a lot of times the most cost-effective way is to purchase within that timeframe.

We have up to 8 years and 150,000 miles of coverage I believe and varying increments up to that.

I think that is 8 years total, so it's 5 years added to the first 3 years and 30,000 mile warranty. Correct?

I worked with Brooke yesteday and added 5 years for my Bullitt. 8 years/100K total. Very easy to work with and can give multiple quotes for options like 7 or 8 years at 100K with either $100 or $200 deduct.

Yes, it is from the original warranty in-service date. So 8 years from the day it was sold new.

You have up to 36 months. There is an upcharge at 12 months or 12,000 miles and I'd advise moving quicker because of inflationary price increases I have seen.
