Hey guys what do you think of this package? Worth getting for the GT?

Any affect on the gas mileage? Improvements or worse ?

Thanks

Absolutely worth it IF you're in CA and worried about CARB EO and warranty. No noticeable change for me in gas mileage. If anything, its gotten slightly better?

Wakes up the GT by making it a 91 Octane motor, like the Dodge392 and i believe the Camaro motor is already from the factory. Puts you at 460. You notice it immediately. Can't comment on gas millage 'cause i put min on at 700 miles. Millage around town is dismal. If i cared i'd of bought a Prius. Bet it does pretty well on the highway though.

I get around 28 mpg on the highway in my GT with the PP2. City? 13-16 depending on how heavy my foot is.

I noticed a drop of about 1.5 mpg in the only place I can check it accurately - Interstate highways. I used to get 27-28. I'm hard pressed to get above 25-26 now...

BTW, I've had mine for about 10 months so I have some experience with it.

You won't get better gas mileage, if anything it will be worse because you'll be driving around town even harder with your woken up engine. ;) I have the Roush tune and CAI which is basically the same thing as the FRPP pack with some minor differences, and my gas mileage didn't change.

I haven't noticed a significant difference in gas mileage yet. But damn this thing is a beast now. And it screams with Roush X-pipe and axel back.

I went from a average of 16.8 mpg down to 16.3mpg. Compared to every one else there's either something wrong with my car or something wrong with my right foot!:headbang:

For those of us getting better gas mileage with the PP2, I have to consider the possibility that either the gear ratio or revolutions per mile on the tire size was imputed incorrectly in the Settings for the tune. The speedometer may read that you are traveling faster than what you are actually traveling, which would improve the MPG display. I have this same issue with my GT. It appears to be off

I don't think they flash the tire size. Remember, we have to run Super now, perhaps that has some effect.

Yeah, maybe a 1/2 mile per gallon loss with mine. Of course my right foot may have played a role in that! Love the extra kick!!

I would say the same or around +-.5mpg. I didn’t have it for long before I got a new tire and wheel setup. Maybe I lost .3 mpg after the tires and wheels.

The speedo is unchanged 1380KPOI unless you intentionally change it.

Really?? By setting the incorrect RPM (revolutions per mile) as listed by the tire manufacturer, then you will see a difference in the speedometer

I’m aware of that. I’m saying the speedo is unchanged when installing pp2 without changing tire setup. During the tune installation the wheel diameter are what it came with stock.
