I picked up a Ford PremiumCare 8yr 100k exclusion based warranty and its a 10spd. Not worrying about it frankly. If it takes a dump at 50k, i get a new motor :)
Unless you tune it and then you get a 3/36k which starts from the day you bought the car, not when you install the tune.

From what I'm seeing from other vendors, I'm not really sure I'm really all that interested in a Ford tune. E85 tunes are producing some decent numbers but that is E85. I'm not sure I really trust some of the 93 octane tunes until there are more guys running them without failures. Ford's will of course be more conservative which translates to even smaller gains. Probably why they haven't released it yet, they likely didn't leave much on the table that they feel comfortable with doing. Bang for buck value will probably not be worth it for many.

Maybe not an issue with your dealership, but technically the Ford Performance parts replace your warranty (base or extended) on the parts they replace or parts they can damage if things go badly.

I also have the Ford extended warranty. If you have a Ford Racing PP do you only get the 3/36 or does the PP keep the extended warranty?

You keep it as long as the new parts dont cause a failure. If the new parts do, its under 3yr/36k

That's true for anything aftermarket technically. If nothing goes wrong you never lose any warranty. :)

The hard truth is the Ford PP parts are under their 3/36 warranty regardless of whatever warranty you have (base or extended). If the Ford PP can damage any other component in the car and be blamed then that part is also now under the PP 3/36.

The real truth is that most dealers don't equate Ford PP parts to other aftermarket parts....but they could if they wanted to.

Here we sit...another day and no announcement. Roush offers the same 3/36 warranty FRP does. I’m about to pull the trigger on their pack for the 18-19.

I like their lid but I want to see some true, 3rd party dynos from non-sponsored shops on their lid and the tune before I would consider it. My brother bought a kit for his 13 GT that was a CAI and tune and was supposed to give like 25hp, but we dyno'd it and it made exactly 11 over stock, repeatable. Different day, re-dyno, made 9-10, repeatable. Irritating, and we were running 93 when the kit required 91.

Sigh. I'm guessing they are holding off until the scored cylinder walls issue is resolved.

Going Roush. This is lame. Everything featured is for the Eco Boost also.

I have a friend manning a vendor booth near FRPP at SEMA. So far, nothing.

Lame. With the Bullitt running the GT350 IM, TB and CAI, there is no way they can’t offer that as a stage 1 tune out of the gate. Clearly it has CARB approval. Maybe they can put out another plastic door sill or oil separator that is a ball ache to empty.

Without a boost in torque, pass.

Pretty sure I already saw the FP oil separator for the 18-19 listed, lol.
