Well it arrived today, I guess the 4 nuts go with the silver strut tower brace not the black larger brace that came with it, can't you just use the 4 nuts already on the car or do I need to use the new ones that came in the box?????

As said in PM you can use your original bolts or new ones, upto you.

You shouldn't reuse nylock nuts but it's not a critical component so use either and the originals will have good grip after only being off once. They should be torqued down though.

In the CJPP video where Bill adds a "normal" strut brace to the Ecoboost SEMA car, he says at the 2:36 mark to torque then to 41 ft/lbs, so I'd hope it's not too much different (Now I wait to be proved wrong)

Page 6: Torque to 41 ft/lb or 55Nm

Tried fitting mine today and it didn't go well, where the silver strut tower brace crosses the black k brace it sits on top of it leaving a huge gap under the 2 nuts on the drivers side, only way I see around this is to pack the gap with washers, did anyone else find this the case with theirs and what did you do???

There is some minor touch I just tightened them, no need for spacers.

I ground a little relief in the underside of the brace where it crosses the black one. Only a couple of mil to make it sit central.
