After adding everything up with a sleeved motor without any type of warranty I'm looking at around 9 grand for a built short block. I think in going to go with the gen 3 Aluminumtor. Anybody have one? Pro and cons on this block? If I can make 900 wheel all day without issues.. I think I'll be ok

Only thing is.. I really don't want to run 12.1 or 9.5.1 I would like 11.1 or 10.1
Same here. There are a couple of options like an .075” head gasket that would drop the 12/1 version to 11/1, and an .025” (haven’t verified these exist) that would bump up the 9.5 to 9.8 or so.

What about the plasma-spray cylinder liner? Have you or anybody heard of any issues it may cause? I know current GT500 Predator engine has it.

The plasma cylinder was a problem at first but there has not been any complaints lately so maybe Ford got it figured out. A gen3 shortblock is more than 99% of people need. Also you can get 4 gen3 shortblocks for the price of one built one. To tell the truth I see more built or supposedly built shortblocks blow then factory ones
What is the problem with your engine you have? I think you said Ring land? If so why not fix it.

Yep. Ringland failure. I want to turn up the boost and make around 900 all day long. The factory ringlands suck and I figured, I'm already in the motor, why not replace the rods and pistions.

I talked to a guy making 950hp on E at the wheel with the gen2 aluminator and he blew both head gaskets. He not sure how. He tuned it himself and thinks maybe he had to much timing in it.

I installed the Gen 3 12 to 1 Aluminator in my car 1200 miles ago. I went with head studs but that was all everything else stock. I got my gaskets from partsford.com.

Oh you did 12.1. How pounds of boost are you going to run?
Right now i'm on the 3.875 pulley and will be going to the 3.6 six rib when I install the fuel system, but I don't know how many pounds of boost it will be. I'm not trying to break the bank i'm still more than happy with it as is when it shows anything in nines im good.
