Ford has a recall and stop sale on Mustang automatics with production dates March 2019 to August 2020.

"Ford said the issue was that these Mustangs received polypropylene brackets instead of the nylon brackets other vehicles got."
Has anyone here actually been able to get the work done?
I'm in the market for 2020 auto, and the dealer days he can get it done next week, but he says Ford will expedite the parts to the dealer only if I sign a contract RIGHT NOW (yeah, I unreservedly trust dealers).

Walk away, walk away fast. Total BS. Why would Ford parts care if the dealer had a signed contract or not? It’s a safety recall.

38,000 of the 2020 models, voluntary recall by Ford. Don't understand the dates, my 2019 was manufactured late summer of 2019.

Then your car will probably be recalled as well. Make sure to register with owner.ford.com, to make sure Ford has your personal information correct, so you do get recalls. If your car is affected, it should say there. An alternative is to download the FordApp, but many of us, don't like that thing. Hope this helps.

I believe Ford starts sending out notice to owners by Nov 16. I don’t think dealer can fix it for you before that day.

Completed this a few days ago. Was the brake pedal and backup camera recall (took about 2hrs). Both done and now I can stop running into things in order to stop.......
