I wont modify at all, this car will be more then capable on the road, track and straight line for 99% of drivers. If i wanted to modify id buy a used 350 for 40k less and go crazy.

Ford went with a blower and I’m telling you flat out this is what they told investors, it was the less expensive option and hit there performance targets. I completely agree another blower engine IMO isn’t all that special anymore because the big 3 are doing it. If you take away the DCT this car doesn’t have the oh shit that’s amazing like the gt350 had with the FPC and the last gt500 with the unheard of 662hp “200mph top speed which nobody got” for me it’s just feels like this is a rushed model to meet with the ford fans who deserve this car
Sales will be the deciding factor of that.

Lets. Not forget the 3d printing that was used to proof of concept a lot.of parts..speeding things up

Does the stock horsepower really matter that much????
Within a few weeks, most of the buyers will have a smaller pulley, custom tune, intake and exhaust... and probably 800+ horsepower...
I agree.

Of the 7 other actual buyers i know in real life, ALL are modifying, as they do all their performance cars

Dont forget the 3rd and 4th MY will have to see some type of HP increase to keep interest.

Hopefully the reveal is a “light” number. My 03 cobra was rated at 390 and mist dyno’d btw 410-415. Love to see 750with them laying down 765+

A lot has changed since then, with emissions standards, and horsepower ratings. This is why you are seeing a lot more precise HP numbers.

The main reason the 03-04 cobras were so underrated was because of the fiasco with the 99 and 01 Cobras were supposed to be 320 hp and were dynoing at only 305 hp due to an improperly manufactured intake manifold.
Hence Ford started underrating output for a while to avoid another sht storm...

Nastang, You said it was bigger than a Coyote. It's not.
If course it's heavier. No one's arguing that.

Your post was not factual, so I pointed it out.
The block will absolutely be bigger than a Coyote block. The overall engine will be narrower but the total length of the 7.3 will most absolutely be longer. That is 100000000000% fact. Said by Ford engineers. Done with this subject and move on because you're wrong.

Yes remember that fiasco well. Some current cars are still underrated from what I’m hearing. New supra may be one. Time will tell

Anything less than 750 then the extra + was not necessary IMO. 730 or 739 is 700+ no need to add an extra +. But FORD can do what they want, here i am giving logical debate over the meaning of ++. So i guess the marketing guys did there job....they have us talking.

You know I pretty much said the same thing and then deleted it. You are correct. It's all about social media and targeting the millennial crowd. Somehow Ford has miscalculated thier target demographic because I believe people like me and you are the ones with more discressionary spending than the social media addicts.

Case in point, I don't Twitter, Facebook, like, or share and this is my garage.
