Not to derail this thread.....
But swapping to a more durable platform is wise.
Adding displacement would put Ford on a more level playing field.

Carol Shelby was know to swap for a larger engine......
Was he a idiot as well?

On that thread......I stated that the Predator would have 9.5:1 compression.
Guess what? I was 100% correct.

There have been 5 generations of Coyote blocks since model year '10.
Ford really should have designed a larger platform and sent the Mod Motor
out to pasture along with all it's siblings.
Yeah because more weight in the nose is what every performance car needs...gtfoh... it's strength and durability NOT displacement that's needed and the coyote has both now improving those aspects and NOT SIZE is the best thing Ford can do

Well, I had a 5.8L Trinity that performed pretty well. And a 6.2L HC that scared off 5.0's. They went into submission right when they saw the side emblem...
And then everyone on the internet stood up and clapped for you

Just spit it out already.

Every chance they've had to capitalize on the excitement of a new GT500 has ended with a thud. The reveal presentation was awful. Poor guy had to give presentation with cables attached to the car, blocking 50% of those carbon wheels. We didn't even get to hear it!

If you haven't seen the Dodge Demon reveal, that's how you do it... even it if was sooooo Dodge.

If it really is 730, I think there are going to be A LOT of disappointed Mustang fans out there

760 would make the most sense.

Here’s to hoping it’s more.

So.. they gave us very little.

Third number is not a "3" or an "8" or a "6".

"0" or "9."

I'll stick with "760."

I got a bigger applause when I announced my R that I purchased for under MSRP.

most power dense sc v8.

So 808/ 6.2l = 130.32hp per l = dodge.

That statement means the 5.2l must only be >130hp/l which = 681hp minimum.

So that statement sets the bar pretty low imo. 700hp is 134+ hp per l
