It's a mute point since his dealer is doing the repair under warranty. This whole thread was a hypothetical rant apparently.A lot of people keep quoting the warranty, but as someone has said before, without specifics, the warranty can be argued as it is very vague.
What does Ford consider "OTHER EVENTS"? If you take their verbiage at face value, Ford can literally deny you a warranty claim because you drove your car. The "EVENT" was you driving to work. Says so, right in the warranty literature, right? Without defining what an event is, it is now a blanket sentence for denial.
So, yeah, it probably could be argued, but it seems that OP went in with and is doubling down on the "ignorance is bliss" technique.
Yes, the car was designed to race and use on tracks. Yes, Ford is saying that. They are saying, "have a good time on the track in the car we designed for the track", but they are also saying, "do so at your own risk, as we believe in our product and what it was designed to do, but no, we will not pay for it if you break it doing so".
I think most reasonable people would agree that, no your warranty should not cover you if you are driving your car like a maniac, even if your car was intended to be driven like a maniac.
That could be anything from time attack to all out.is involved in competitive racing

thanks for the clarificationA feminine hygiene product best used on a summer's eve...
Then we will start downloading hacks from hackers instead of tunes from tuners.Other than the physical evidence, the Telematics module in the car will rat you out to Ford. It records all your driving habits. So if you redline the thing daily, drift every corner, slam the brakes, and pull hole shots then they are gonna know all your dirty secrets. And there is nothing you can do about it. Yes you can turn the WIFI off, but the Tell-on-your-antics module will still record it all. In the future all that data will go to the insurance companies and in the event of a police chase shut your car off. I don't know if you can remove it without throwing a code or crippling the car.
Well it does have a CAN-bus interface so very possible to hack it.Then we will start downloading hacks from hackers instead of tunes from tuners.
Honestly though, this has already crossed my mind. If it sends data the data can be spoofed.
Oh bless you child. In spite of trolls and maybe a ford employee like you.Yea, he is a db.
Wasn't talking about you, but okOh bless you child. In spite of trolls and maybe a ford employee like you.
Some on hear said negative things about me and that I would not get a new transmission or rebuild under warranty.
Due to my hard work and foundation, Ford finally put a new transmission in UNDER WARRANTY! LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE!
They gave up on trying to rebuild it.
After almost 3 months of my car sitting outside in the hail, rain, snow, etc. at the Ford dealer.
Just hope it lasts a lot longer than transmission shops, performance shops and the Ford techs say it will last. Most say in 2 years the aftermarket will have all the multiple faulty parts figured out and upgraded.

If you read the notes it sounds like the dealer just reprogrammed it.
The dealer told me it was completely new and not rebuilt. I looked up the job numbers and they equal a new transmission.
DO NOT let trolls and manufacturers wear you down and into giving in/up!
Good driving to all!
