Wonder what the A10 does in comparison. I was helping my buddy shop and he settled on an A10 regular ecoboost. Definitely doesn't feel that slow to me lol
A10 does 0-60 4.5. Another thing is you cannot get the handling pack on a regular Ecoboost. magnaride is amazing and the whole reason to get this car.

I have the best of both worlds,
I have an original HP EcoBoost powered car plus the '20 Bullitt.
I'd love to swap a modern 2.3 EB in my old Bird.
EDIT: So to answer the OP's question, I doubt Ford will really give up on the EB.... is been around for decades in some form. UNLESS it all goes to hell and turn ev.....

I always wanted to do a 2.3 ecoboost conversion on one of these. A little known fact is the fox birds (83-88) have the same track width as the SN 95 mustangs and are basically a long wheelbase fox body mustang. After the EB conversion add sn-95 spindles with 13" cobra brakes and a terminator IRS conversion (you have to extend the front mounting points on the IRS cradle 3/8th's of and inch and clearance a few spots but it is almost a bolt in) then you will have a 4 wheel disc 5 lug bird with the right track width. Then add these wheels

They are similar to the factory wheels on the 87-88 and the center cap with the bird emblem should fit.

All the pictures of the TurboCoupes make me miss my old one. It was not a 'keeper' but served me as a winter vehicle and backup when my other vehicle needed repairs. Pull the wonky air filter canister and put a conical filter right on the VAM and instant 3 more pounds of boost and a great whistle sound inside the car :D

I think the HPP is an interesting car, and envision it being a decent autocross/short track car.

I'll bet they're a hard to find car down the road as well.

I haven't had the opportunity to drive an HPP but I think it's a great car. However, I've always thought that what we know as the HPP engine should have simply been the Mustang EcoBoost gen 2.

Is there an off topic forum for our other car/cars? I’ll post up some more photos of my time capsule.

I had an ‘86 Cougar XR7 2.3 turbo 5-speed. That car was a blast. Sure does bring back some good memories. Thanks for sharing.

Even though my 2020 2.3 HPP Mustang had an MSRP of 43665.00 dollars , I would have been okay with paying MSRP. My 2.3 HPP has the handling package, Recaro seats, and the high performance 2.3 liter engine and is well worth the price. I would put the 2.3 HPP above any car of that price. Ford got it right with the 2.3 HPP. The 2.3 HPP is one of my favorite Mustangs.
I don’t know. This wasn’t too bad of a deal for $38,750 including Recaros and active exhaust.

that' a very good price on a cloth PP2. The HPP is badly overpriced IMO. I drove one back to back against my properly tuned EB and it did not impress.

I agree. In Canada, the HPP costs $6500 on a 100A. To get the HPP plus the $2600 handling package on a base EcoBoost, you need to step up another $2000 for a 101A. Now we are at $44,080. All are very desirable options but we've just added 33% to the price of the car!

For a Canadian EcoBoost Premium, we are looking at 200A $39,265 + HPP $6500 + Handling $2600 = $48,365 The Build & Price doesn't force a 201A with the Handling package but if you want it, add another $2100.

I feel that the 330 hp engine should have simply been EcoBoost gen 2 (standard on all models) and then the $6500 HPP package should include all of the current HPP items plus the Handling Package items with MagneRide.

Then again, it still costs more to step up to a V8:
GT 301A $2600, PP2 $6500, AE $1000 = $52,790 CAD
GT 401A $2100, PP2 $6500, AE $1000 = $59,525 CAD

I’d rather spend 1500 on full steeda suspension, struts, shocks, springs, sway bars, camber plates, then. 500-600 ford tune

better off imo.

if you want to be nit picky- bigger brakes and radiator can be added
