Very well said Darin. I rather enjoyed reading that and think you nailed it.
except that the 500 is heavy and consumes so much gas, its hard to finish a 30 min session going all out.

I agree. His writeup was very good.

I will add a couple items:

Both need larger fuel tanks.

Both have great trunk space.

Also, getting good at heel toe take practice and you have to keep doing it or you lose the skill. GT350R heel toe is pretty easy (pedal position). but can't be shy with the blip.

But then the problem is compounded by weight. Put a bigger fuel tank on it and the weight goes up dramatically.

Or, the solution is to drive it easy for the sake of fuel consumption. That's no fun.

Its downright embarrassing. Having to let up and coast for a cool down lap hoping you make it back to the garage.

Edited to add:
I would rather deal with the problem of fuel consumption as opposed to dealing with an underpowered 350.

See for yourself… yes, the GT500 has big power and big brakes that do well on all tracks but are just frigg’n NUTS on big tracks! This is my biggest track video. GT350s and most Porsches had nothing on the
Awesome video. Surprised they let you wear shorts. Nice that you get to really use your car like that. Living the dream...👍

Agreed in the weight. approx 6 lbs per gal.

Don’t have to fill it up but it is easier that way.
