...convince me to do the same. Especially if you do occasional tracking. What do you love about the GT500 over the GT350?

I sold my 2018 GT350 and am currently shopping for my next car. About to pull the trigger on a 911 GTS, but lingering in the back of my mind is maybe I should go with a GT500.

Lots. More. Power.

If you are running a po dunk small track, you may prefer the 350. The 500 is a big track machine. Fast, maneuverable, do what you want when you want to do it.

All the best in your decision.

Tom, that's memory from the far past. Podunk Center, IA was a small central Iowa "wide spot
in the road" that some guy had bought up all the businesses and sold the whole town in one
deal in 1969.

No disrespect, but my point was that the 500 IMHO is not a small or short track car. The 500 is a bruiser that best shines on big fast tracks.

The 350 on the other hand is more suited for the more technical and smaller tracks. It is lighter and IMHO a bit more maneuverable...... although the 500 is no slacker.

To the point..... I would buy a 500.

350 has the FPC, the sound is amazing, as you know. 500 is pure power, unbelievable, full throttle on the street is almost impossible. The DCT is underrated, up and down shift in a micro second. Some members have both 350 and 500, my wife would kill me, so 500 it is.

Iam not really a track guy either but even if I was I would go 500. I had a 350R and loved it but the 500 is so much more. I love it even more than the 350. Thats saying a lot since Iam an old school manual guy. The DCT is awesome, smooth and quick.

The GT350 car cover fits on the GT500 nicely if you pull really hard. Lots of power and auto if you like it.

See for yourself… yes, the GT500 has big power and big brakes that do well on all tracks but are just frigg’n NUTS on big tracks! This is my biggest track video. GT350s and most Porsches had nothing on the CFTP.

COTA is a blast. Spent a half day driving R8 V10+ on that track. Your video proves good skill matched with GT500 is perfect combo for COTA.

Don’t watch it if it doesn’t interest you. PJ is asking about the new 500… specifically taking it to the track. The topic turned to how it loves big tracks. This is a video of a new 500 on a big track.

That would be a fun car to hit the track in. A buddy has the V8 version… we went to the track on Black Friday together. The Audi did very well in the turns, but didn’t have the power for the straights. I don’t know R8s, but I’m sure the V10 version would fair better with more powa!
