OP, after thinking about this. If you are going for the widest tire on the rear you can fit. I would suggest staying with a 19" wheel in the widest width and proper offsets that fit. You could then run a 325 or possibly a 345 on the rear.
The only 325/30R19 is NITTO invos. Those 100% aren’t hooking. I need sticky as possible tires. Wide is important but not at the expense of quality rubber. And I’m aware tire brands are different widths. Perfect example is the Toyo proxies R888R’s. They tend to be wider than NITTOS.

Understood, and the Nitto 555r2 doesn't come in a 315/30R20. Sounds like a choice between a rock and a hard place. There are plenty of us that are supercharged/turbo and we somehow make a 305 or some other size work. With that being said, it is almost impossible to get any tire to dead hook without going to a true drag radial.

Again, my point is that the choices of a 315/30R20 are very limited. I'm not trying to change your mind. Like everything, there is usually a compromise. You want 315/30R20, you go with what's available and that means possibly giving up on the expectation that you are getting the best tire for putting the power down. I do believe Michelin makes the Pilot Sport 4s in that size. You want to put the power down, then that means you give up on the 30% sidewalls for many brands.

Toyo makes the R888r’s in 315/30R20. That is what I would go with if I do the 20’s over let’s say a new wider tire on my 19’s like 325/30R19. But that’s a whole other issue when it comes to tires. And I believe the Cup2’s come in that size too. But the Togo’s are better. And when it comes to dead hooking on the street a true radial would probably be worse. Look how bad the Mickey ET streets perform off the track. No tire is truly hooking I’ve come to that realization.

When I was 20x10, 20x11, I ran 285/30/20 in the front, 305/30/20 out back. Those sizes aren't really too friendly to our Mustang's 27" tire, the 305/30/20 comes out to be 27.2" which isn't too bad, and the 285/30/20 being 26.7" has it balance out with a slight rake. Those sizes are also common with the Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes, and Porsche so you can get plenty of quality rubber choices, like the Sport Cup 2's and Supercar 3R.

You're always going to have problems hooking up with some garbage 260TW bargain tire. r888r have a known issue with tread splice separation, would have ruined my friend's weekend if he wasn't able to call in some favors. Get some quality R-compound, drop the pressure, warm them up, and go make some money.

I mean to say the R888r’s aren’t quality is a stretch and aren’t they “R” compound and if your friend was driving below 40 degrees that’s on him. That looks like cracks in the rubber to me. But thank you for the insight.

Perhaps that came out harsh/wrong, but compared to its peers of the A052, SC 3R, FK660, Rival S 1.5, RE-71r, AR-1, NS-2r... is the R888r faster?

If you're getting them for a steal of a price, perhaps that's another story.

Hey Velgen here, if you're wanting a tire that's gonna give you the best chance at hooking and it seems you're kind of dead set on a 315 I would probably go with the Toyo r888r I've heard good things from them on other vehicles so I think you should be good with that. Unless you go with the nt555r but you seem set on the 315/30 and nitto doesn't make that but those are your two best options. The only other way you're gonna dead hook with lots of power would have to be going and getting a drag radial as well and running a full drag setup when you do go on over to Mexico.
