They've had enough time to figure it out. This car should be flawless.
I'm 100% confident, I mean, look at the Mustang GT's and the getrag transmissions they've been honing for almost 10 years.... sure the odd bbq tick, lost engine, grinding synchros but you hardly ever hear about it! Ecoboosts, what's the big deal with an engine steaming and heating up like a pot on the stove. GT350's - it's so strange that about half of them I see for sale have a replacement engine, sure that's just a coincidence.

Ford - the best never rest!

well, I don't know what to tell you. All of my Rs and my track pack 350 have been great. A great track car right out of the box. So, YMMV, but I have no issue with a first year run of a new car from FP.

The GT500 will be awesome, but there will still be lots of people on here complaining about this, that and the other thing. And there will be many, many trolls saying how it sucks for some reason or another - some other car is better, blah blah blah.

Human nature, I think.

Yep, I think GT500 will make more torque, at higher RPM and make better use of gearing - simply looking at a torque plot in a vacuum make little sense (a couple of mouth breathers on other sites were doing the "duh, der, my car will make more torque at lower RPM"). I think it's going to be quick off the line, but that 20-100MPH roll it's going to be devastatingly fast.
Agree. I've probably pointed this out before but my 2009 GT500 makes close to 200 more RWP and 200 more RWT than my (stock)2018 GT.....YET the 18 GT(10R80) will leave a gap between the 2 from a dig probably thru the first 1/8.
Now put that 18 with another 200HP and RWT with a transmission that shifts even faster, wider/better rear tires and such....This car will do a helluva job moving it's ass if you ask me....

In that pic I was 50 years old, 265-270# and I'm only 5'7". It was an absolutely ridiculous look, but at the time, I WANTED MORE..... kinda like 760 ponies. Sure there are a some excellent drivers who can effectively use 760, but I'm going to guess it's less than 10% of those who will purchase one. But, ultimately I'm a big fan of capitalism, if you can afford it and it makes you happy, pick one up. If it's not enough grunt, that's what pulley's and tunes are for. Additionally I suspect that Dustin Whipple and others would love to give you MORE BOOST.
i daily drove a 840 rwhp 2014 1LE camaro ls3 -624/624 cam LTs paxton NOVI on 93 pump w/M1A Alky with 6 speed in it -9.70 144mph car I was used to it sam thing with my shelby GT 10.0 car 138mph daily it was boring ..Dont forget 760hp is crank take off 15/18 percent for drive line loss this car is gonna make 660rwhp basically a hellcat performance 10.80s 129-131..you can never have enough HP

I remember having a '76 Cobra II with 139 hp, lol.
Yep my first new V8 mustang had a whopping 165hp. And today we complain about more than 4 times that at the back tires???

Power is all relative to enjoyment. I have a 1600hp procharged fox body that runs 7s in the 1/4 and I have so much more enjoyment in my 10second smog legal 2018 with a 10r80.
Regarding the new 7speed. If any of you have driven an new Audi R8 or Lamborghini with a dual clutch 7speed, you have experienced the transmission that is in he GT500. If you haven't, the 10r80 is a pile of shit compared to at DC 7speed

I do remember buying a 1983 Mustang GT from a kid who said it was really fast. I tried not to smile.
I bought one off the showroom floor in 1983. Right when they came out with the 5 speed. In it's day it was fast. All 175 HP!

Fox Mustangs could feel fast with very few HP because the brakes and suspension were so bad. I owned lots of them and really enjoyed driving them for many years.

Yea, I loved them too but I didn't like looking out the side window and seeing the rear end!

Wow life is back on this thread and I had to change my vote lol. I just picked up a Dodge Hellcat RE 797HP and still have my GT. After selling my Hellcats over a year ago and driving a Mustang for over a year its nice change up. And the GT is truly a blast to drive and more sporty and nimble but the Redeye is truly gnarly lol.

I was working at a Ford dealer when the Boss came back 1982 GT with a whopping 157hp. They came off the transport with the front air dam in the back of the car I put it on during PDI.

Love the Redeye. Daimler/Chrysler nailed the design.
