This 2016 GT is the first vehicle I've ever owned with a key fob. It's a manual transmission, and since Ford doesn't think they can safely put remote start on a handshaker (that's a topic for another time), there is absolutely no point in any of the buttons on my key fob. The door unlocks when I grab the handle, and locks when I press the "lock pad". The trunk opens with a quick press of the button and ...well... I don't panic.
The only feature the fob buttons offer that I find useful is opening the windows.
What are your solutions for not accidentally popping the trunk?
I'm very close to pulling the silicone pad out of one of the fobs so the buttons don't work.
