I would have posted in the general forum, but this is specific to our vehicles. USAA has jacked the rates in FL. I have a total of 8 vehicles and my 6 month rate was somewhere in the $3,000 per 6 month premium. I am up for renewal and the bill is now almost $5,000. A long conversation with the agent and it was explained to me that USAA is raising the rates due to solvency issues. The said that last year, for each dollar taken in, they paid a dollar and eight cents.

Who in Florida has insurance for their GT350/GT500 and how much are you paying for a 6 month premium?

HOLY BALLS BATMAN!!!!! Is Florida a no-fault state?

Not an answer to your specific question but my insurance through Hagerty in Indiana was $750 last year for the entire year. Have you gotten a quote from them?

My USAA bill tripled from last year. I keep my collector cars on Haggerty. My homeowners insurance also more than doubled. I too am located in Florida and all my business insurance policies have increased dramatically.

I have not, but am exploring all options. I guess its time to start calling around. 29 years with USAA, never an accident, not tickets, no claims.....

I think itā€™s probably Florida more than anything. Ins companyā€™s are paying out a lot of money right now. I pay about 1k a year for my 350 up in Michigan but not sure you can really compare it to Florida. Same as you, no accidents, no tickets, 8 vehicles all through State Farm.

I just got Haggerty for my 350. Iā€™m in Texas where everything seems expensive and Iā€™m at 1k for the year

Geico just went up 18% for my Georgia vehicles. Iā€™ve never filed a claim. Travelers tried to raise my homeowners 34% and my umbrella/article policy almost 50%. Again no claims. I switched to Pure and my homeowners is 33% of what Travelers wanted. Umbrella/article policy went down considerably as well with twice the coverage added. Pure will not cover my vehicles however so Iā€™ll be shopping those as well. These guys are notorious for price creep and most will put up with a little but these increases are ridiculous. Definitely pays to shop. Iā€™m saving over 5k a year now with better coverage.

I have 3 cars on my USAA policy in MN and I pay about $1,000 for 6 months. Of course, my cars are absolute trash and not worth much of anything comparatively. However, I have raised the coverage significantly over what the minimum requirements are. I also have the Mustang in storage (not driven) right now because I haven't bought any winter tires for it.

It doesn't look like my rate has changed much since last year.

It is no secret that insurance companies are raising rates for everything across the country. I have read numerous articles regarding this over the last few months. Iā€™ll be getting my renewal shortly and I am not looking forward to it. I live in New York.

Also in Florida and I swapped from USAA to Progressive a couple years ago. Currently my GT500 is $750 every 6 months for 100/300K and $500 deductible. Funny thing is my wifeā€™s 1 year newer Kia Carnival is slightly higher lol.

My home insurance is fooking stupid high. It doubled last year and Iā€™m over $3K a year. Florida insurance laws are a joke.

Different states as well as companies are very different. California is stupid high as well.
You guys need to list your exact coverages to ā€œcompareā€.
Iā€™m moving from California to Wyoming and my premiums will be half with the same coverages.
I sold my GT350 a month or so before my Hagerty policy expired so I didnā€™t get a renewal quote.
My motorcycle policy almost doubled through Allstate. Sold the bike as well.
My homeowners is a little lower in Wyoming with about the same home value as California.
