Was hoping a fix didn't involve adhesive. Thanks for the reply.I had a similar fitment issue with the same part (though a smaller gap compared to the picture) and solved it by using 3M Super Trim Adhesive Spray with the tape. It's been 9 months and the piece hasn't moved.
The adhesive I used can be removed by heating the area or using a 3M product to remove the adhesive. I took this route because I would've waited 3 weeks for the dealership's body shop to fix it.Was hoping a fix didn't involve adhesive. Thanks for the reply.
You never want to remove the awesomeness of a GT350... to remove the awesome...
Low power to soften it some, makes it pliable it will pick up the curvature. .............. or wait for summer reply in the sun.Heat gun to bend the plastic vent?
Good to know. Thanks! One of mine is like this too, but the gap is on the bottom. Dealership said they replace them under warranty all the time. They just order new and add additional 2 sided tap to put them on correctly. I had them get me the vent, I just need to put it on.
