I had my first track day yesterday at Pitt Race running their North Track. For background, I have a 2015 with PP and the following modifications:
Steeda, vertical links, sub frame braces and K member brace.
Eibach Pro Kit
Solo Mach Thunder Exhaust
20" downforce with 275/35/20 at all corners (Sumitomo HTR ZIII).
So I ordered a new set of wheels and tires but they did not come in prior to the event so I went with what I had.
The car performed flawlessly. The brakes never faded after three sessions which I had stock fluid and pads. Car only has 7k miles on it so I did not feel the need to change prior to based on what I read.
I never got any baselines with the car in stock setup but I can tell you that everything felt balanced, no real over or understeer, and the car definitely had enough power.
I was on the track with a 2008 GT500, 2008 E92 M3, C5 Corvette, EVO, STI, VW GTI, and some others. At the end of the day I was able to pass most of these vehicles, some of that being due to how hard the other drivers were pushing, but in other cases was my able to get power down out of the turns.
Despite how large our cars are they are quite capable track cars.
