First Time Mustang Owner / Order

Good morning all. I have spent months researching, reading reviews, and looking on forums. Then on 14 January, I finally pulled the trigger and placed my first-ever special order through Military Autosource. I am beyond excited (to return to the U.S. and take delivery) and cannot wait to get the opportunity to enjoy the car. I ordered a 2016 Mustang GT Premium in Deep Impact Blue w/ ebony racing stripes and the performance package. I am still waiting on the VIN # and production date, but I am hoping to have the vehicle delivered in Georgia prior to 1 April (due to work requirements). From everything that I have seen in the forums, it is quite nerve racking with the wide range of delivery times (seems like the average has been 8-12 weeks). Fingers crossed for a quick delivery and I look forward to the opportunity to learn some things in this forum! :cheers:

Wow, I wonder if your car and mine will come down the line on the same day. I ordered a 2016 Ecoboost PP car (also in Deep Impact Blue, also with the Ebony interior) on 1/14/2016. I've PM'ed Deysha (@FordService), but I need to confirm the order number with my dealer first before I can get my build date and VIN. My salesman is taking a few days off and won't be back in the office until Thursday...

Nice! Did you order the premier interior? I didn't and I am hoping that wasn't a mistake on my part. That would be cool if our cars came down the line the same day. Hopefully you hear back from Deysha soon. I also PM'd her, but she seems to get bombarded with tags/messages - so I completely understand her response time. What time frame did they give you when you placed the order?

No, I didn't order a premium interior (one of the reasons I had to order-probably 90% of the Ecoboost PP cars that dealers order in the area are premium interiors). It came down to affordability for me. Ecoboost premium cars cost about $5k-6k more than a non-premium car ;)

My dealer told me 8-10 weeks, but my salesman said that that is the worst case scenario

No, I didn't order a premium interior (one of the reasons I had to order-probably 90% of the Ecoboost PP cars that dealers order in the area are premium interiors). It came down to affordability for me. Ecoboost premium cars cost about $5k-6k more than a non-premium car ;)

Don't think our rides will go down the assembly line together...still no build date or VIN assigned. Hoping I get those next week :(

On Friday afternoon I received notification that my Mustang was built! Yesterday (Saturday) it was updated to being in transit! Ahhh I cannot wait! Ignore the delivery date - that was a worst case scenario estimate given prior to placing the order.
