First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

Yes, a magazine (I'm thinking road & Track) did run both the GT350 and the R and recorded times of 12.2 - 12.4 in the 1\4 mile showroom stock with a professional driver.

I meant to ask, did anyone else besides the magazines run it bone stock?

The 12.2 and 12.4 runs from the magazines seemed like a lot was left on the table...I'd be interested to see what it can do with some capable hands on a prepped drag strip.

I'm sure we'll have a few owners getting to the strip soon enough.

We're talking push rods and ohc. Not jet engines. Top fuel is the fastest accelerating vehicles in the world with push rods. Don't change the subject. Your already confused.

There is actually nothing that accelerates from a standing start that a human can ride in faster than a top fuel dragster.

Top fuel dragsters and Funny Cars can not be used to prove pushrod engines are faster than OHC engines because the OHC engine was banned from those classes years ago. If OHC engines were allowed, the speeds would be insanely fast. There is a reason the OHC engine was banned from the Hot Rod Engine Masters Competition. The reason is the power potential is too high compared to the pushrod engines. Two years ago the OHC dominated the EMC and were banned from future EMC competition.

The GT350 is just at home on the 1\4 then the road course. Hell it even has a drag mode and a tree on the display.

How about because its 662hp vs 526. They do more then leave you behind. I ran 11.3@127mph with a 1.860ft in 1000+ da on stock tires in my 14 gt500. That was 100% stock. It does more then leave you behind rapes your face.
