Hi all,
Following up on my new car thread, I now have winter-friendly tires mounted. I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires in 285/35 at all four corners. Overall diameter change and speedo/odo impact should be minimal. SC2 rear tires are 27.4" tall and do 758 revolutions per mile, these are 26.9" tall and do 774 per mile, so I should see readings about 2.1% higher than stock (about 1.2mph high at 60mph). Quick measurements before and after didn't show significant ride height differences - about half an inch lower in back as expected, basically no difference in front (stock front tires are 27.1" tall, so a 0.2" difference). I haven't done much driving with them yet, but I will say tramlining is clearly much reduced, which is nice.
A few photos before and after (first in each pair is stock tires, second is A/S 3+). Last pic is technically my second mod - a new license plate frame on a car still grubby from the road trip as it's been too cold to wash it...
