We have new photos showing the interior of a next-generation GT350 Mustang prototype. We can confirm that this vehicle will retain a six-speed manual transmission, which is also clearly shown in these interior photos. As you can see, the interior is still in early prototype condition and does not reflect all of the trim differences that will be applied to this new high-performance variant. Be on the lookout as these prototypes continue to evolve. As before, the quad-exhaust set-up is clearly visible beneath the rear bumper, although the rear valance design is expected to change.

This looks like a Getrag shift pattern, no reverse on the right as would be on a Tremec.

    Yep, great photos

I really hope GT350 at least has the option of the larger NAV screen and associated toggle switches. That console is more V6 rental than halo car in my opinion.

I appreciate it's still early, and nothing's final yet..........but just want to ensure Ford get this feedback ;)

What are those cut-outs at the front corners?

What if this isn't a Halo car? I thought we were looking at the Boss 302 successor and that the GT500 was the Halo car?

I guess I will have to buy the toggle switches separately and install them. They are a deal breaker.

Well, all indications are that GT350 is first up and will be the halo car. If a GT500 follows at some point remains to be seen.

Behind the front wheels? Those would be vents designed to pull air out of the engine bay and wheel well to reduce front end lift at speed.

Just so we are on the same page: a Halo car has the best of everything meant to be the top of the heap.

This car to me seems like the track car meant to replace the Boss 302. That car did not come with navi, leather, or anything from even a premium optioned GT. From appearances so far, if it doesn't make the car better performing it doesn't look like it's going into this car.

Can I ask what those little boxes are on the dash there?

Maybe we're only slightly different pages as both Boss 302 and GT500 were halo Mustangs in my book...........one a master of the track and a "driver's car", the other a balls-out straight line monster........with all mod cons ;)

I guess I want a mix of both. The best driver's Mustang ever, but with all the bells and whistles. Although I appreciate I may not get this :)

Passenger ejector seat and MIB transformation button.

That would be cool, though I doubt Ford will go that route. And as much as I'd love something like that, I have a feeling my bank account will force me into a GT track pack. At least though it will still be quite the driver's car and also available with all the fun little features and luxuries.

Ford will need to spec some R-compound tires for that. Mich PS Cup II tires would get my vote.

Ford wouldn't need special tires to beat the Z/28, they just need good tires.

I agree, almost nothing about this car is HARD info. Ford would not market a stripped down car at this time......I just feel the market is limited no matter how good it might be for the track primarily. JMO, I would probably buy one anyway ;) BTW THANKS Jarstang for the pics !

No doubt it will be a great performing car with the 295/35/19 Mich Super Sports we've seen, but knowing nothing about the performance specs for it to be without hesitation the better track car than the Z/28 it would need the proper rubber. Put a 'track pack' on the GT350 with the sticky rubber, fixed back race seats, no back seat, and aggressive suspension, and the car will be unstoppable.
