Our friends at Steeda have given us a first look at its new 2015 Steeda Sport Lowering Springs for the new Mustang.

Steeda installed the springs on its S550 Mustang and report that the ride quality is amazing while also lowering the car 1” all the way around.

These springs optimize the center of gravity and suspension geometry resulting in vastly improved handling with a noticeable reduction in nose dive, launch squat, and body roll, while still maintaining an outstanding ride quality for daily driving.

UPDATED:

Happy to provide spring rate info!

We have increased both front and rear spring rates by 25% over production. Our kit is a variable rate spring whereas the factory rates are linear - the end coil rate is also the same as production unlike some other brands. As you lean into the corners, the rates will exceed the 25% increase in spring rate to merit even less body roll and better handling.

For those of you that wanted to see how the car sits on pavement, here's a shot with the stock wheels right after we first installed the springs:

Here's a side shot while also showing a bit of the spoiler:

Good question - these are 25% stiffer than the Performance Pack springs.
These springs will work perfectly fine with production-based shocks!

Looks good. 1" drop looks like it's going to be the right amount on S550. Wonder how it will affect wider wheel fitments going forward.

Looks interesting...I would like a side pic to see how far the wheels are tucked into the wheel well...

I was told by steeda these are 20 x 9.5 fronts with 275s and the rears are 20 x 11 with 315s, same size as the spyder setup on my s197 so pretty good.
